Image processing is the most effective method for enhancement and segmentation of tuberculosis bacilli in sputum smear samples. Improper straining can result poor screening results such as over-staining, under-staining, blurred images. The goal to find an image technique that will prepare feature extraction. There are still some shortcomings with existing when it implemented on Ziehl Neelsen In normal images, TB be identified easily, but blur images dark background, sometimes hidden behind cells. Hence, basic contrast not enough improve object interest within image. this study, combination local partial proposed best enhancement. accomplished using Otsu thresholding technique. Otsu's presented suitable techniques paper. Threshold a threshold value distinguishes from background. Experiment shows followed by Otsu’s achieve average accuracy 98.93% applied 50 smear.
